Rare baseball accomplishment of Assamese boy

This past season a rare baseball  accomplishment was made by Olympia  High School right fielder Preetam Talukdar by playing on the Safeco Field, the official home of the Seattle Mariners. Preetam is older son of Munin and Sujata Talukdar of Olympia, Washington. Preetam is heading to Lehigh University in Pennsylvania to study his engineering in the Fall. Preetam played for the Olympia High School baseball team and was a star player. On May 24th 2008,  he played in the Safeco Field Seattle, Washington, during the State Baseball Championships bringing unique and unprecedented pride to the Seattle Assamese community. We all wish good luck to Preetam Talukdar.
