Letters to the Editor

Thanks for forwarding a complimentary copy of 'Posoowa'. I've seen one of two of its earlier copy as well. It's a commendable job you are doing. I've read the complete magazine. It was marvelous!  I personally believe those who are living abroad and have seen the world, can help us to widen our vision and mission and make us understand our life and society better. I'm taking in context of Assam and Assamese society.

The state, possibly, will never forget the black 30th November. Koushik Phukan has rightly says, "Who exactly is a terrorist? No one, but a human being, conscripted by various means like lure of money for the family, a heavenly afterlife for taking part in the activities, threat to the life of the person conscripted or to his or her kin, or a strong feeling of being wronged by the society at large. If we can help change the mind of one such person, that can be a huge achievement. After all, political and economic issues lie at the core of the problem." The language of hatred will only deepen the crisis.  A hen can't hatch a stone and give birth to a chicken. We'll have to change ourselves and our attitude towards the whole problem.

If you have clicked the URL bellow than you know that we the Tinsukia College community has been publishing a quarterly journal since 2003. It has gone online this year. I'll try to popularize your magazine through our journal.

Dear Sir

I have been an avid reader of your monthly magazine "POSOOWA" for the last several months. Nice to see that you use Wordpress as the CMS. I suggest you to customize the theme you have been using in that site to add more colors.
If you want, I will email you a fully customized theme. It will be great honor for me if I can contribute to POSOOWA in that way.

I am an engineering student and a freelance web designer.

I am proud to see such extra-ordinary contributions to Posoowa (November 2008) by the global Assamese community.

I have always believed that Assam would shine in every aspect of development in true meaning and spirit. One such budding initiative is Posoowa, which I hope would branch off to a strong messenger amongst the common man in Assam, cutting across all created divisions in the society. Hope to continue to see the response of crème de la crème Assam with minds and hearts throbbing to see peaceful and developed State.

Regards and looking forward to be part of the Posoowa movement.

Regards and warm wishes.

Congratulation for your magnificent effort for publishing Posoowa. It speaks of your unlimited love and respect for the Assamese society and Assam.

I will like to contribute about our activities in propagating basic life saving skills amongst common people to cope with different natural and man made disasters.

It is great to know that we the idlest people of the globe can bring out such a significant magazine. I take pride in it. Keep your good work going.

The mayhems in Assam were not at all unexpected. Our politicians must think about the state to foresee that these are menacing effects of unchecked infiltration of the people through the borders. We must care!

The Mumbai carnage is getting more attention now because the richest people were been targeted. We must care for Assam also!!
