Learn Assamese with Flash Cards

We are very happy to  announce that “Learn Assamese with Flash Cards” (USA Version) has been published.  Congratulations to Mr. Rupesh Saikia of Houston for making it happen. These Flash Cards were formally released simultaneously on 4th July 2008 in ‘Assam 2008’ in Philadelphia and ‘Assam Convention 2008’ in Atlanta. The Assamese in the USA welcomed the Flash Cards, and in both the conventions, the limited Flash Card packages displayed were sold out.

“Learn Assamese with Flash Cards” provides a unique way to learn the basics of the Assamese language. The cards are designed to teach Assamese through Roman script as well as Assamese script. The set of cards has three packages: 1) Alphabet 2) Phonics and 3) Words. These packages can be used to learn or teach the Assamese alphabet, the correct Assamese phonemes and more than 150 typical Assamese words with their meanings in English and with proper Assamese pronunciation. There are 127 cards in the three packages. The set makes an ideal gift for any Assamese abroad for their children and for their non-Assamese spouses, friends and neighbors on all occasions. The flash cards are designed such that anyone can learn Assamese basics oneself. The cards are also a great aid for any teacher of Assamese. The cards can also be used for playing games and organizing quizzes.
