The evening started with a brief introduction to how Just for Assam was born followed by an outline of the “Spirit of Oneness” at different places worldwide to express solidarity with the terror victims of 30th October Assam Bomb Blasts. Sadly, the timing happened to be the immediately after yet another atrocity in India, the Mumbai tragedy and that it was only appropriate to include the victims and their families of both the atrocities in our thoughts and prayers.
following the successful participation of the people who attended, an interesting open discussion (videos will be uploaded on JFA website soon) with the audience ensued. Appropriate allocation of funds and transparency were of core importance and a local body to implement and to represent JFA was formed.
This website is a platform for not just the JFA members but for all those who love and belong to Assam. We would be delighted to hear your views and suggestion. Written comments are welcome.
