Sankumani Sarma of New Jersey recently went to Assam and finished working on his Assamese film project KOLA DAWOR that is due to release in theaters in October. Sankumani and his team finished the entire video shoot and completed the music for the film. He also released the audio CD for “Kola Dawor” on 4th of August in Guwahati Press Club. The CD was released by well-known music director Romen Barua amidst a host of press personnel and other guests.
The story of KOLA DAWOR is based on the current menace of drug addiction in the society in Assam. The cast is composed mostly of new comers. In the main roles are upcoming stars Cookie and Rituparna Dutta. The camera man is Ganesh Kalita. The choreographer is AkashJyoti. The movie is directed by Nipan Kalita and produced by Sankumani Sarma. The movie was filmed at various locations in Assam as well as in Shillong and Cherapunji. Video editing is currently being done at Darpan Studio, Guwahati. Music was recorded at N.K. Production’s DG Studio, Guwahati. The Music Directors are B. Bharat and Utpal Sarma. Lyrics are by B. Bharat, Utpal Sarma and Anu Devi. There are 6 songs and 2 karaoke tracks on the Audio CD. Songs are sung by the team of Sudipta, Korobi, Minakshi and Sankumani. The CD is priced at 10 USD + postage.
